671 SOS trans swap to a 800 series

I"m working on gathering parts to switch my 671 SOS trans. Is the 600 series bell housings the same as the 800 series? I see there was a plate between the trans and bell, and for the hyd. lines the seals are they o rings? Do I have to change the rear? Has anyone done this? I found a 821 4 speed and Sherman set down that I will use.What about the flywheel? If anyone needs a SOS it moves ok little jerky for me will sell it if someone would like to drive it before I take it out I live in central New Jersey thanks

Yes, the bellhousing uses the same pattern. NOt 100% sure on the hyd. lines, but I think they do use o-rings. The rear end is the same on SOS and 4- and 5-speeds. You will need the flywheel from the donor tractor. There are a few guys who post on the Ford forum who have done this swap and can tell you more about it.
