Zenith Carb Adjustment

Hello All,

I have a Ford 640 that I had to replace the carb. I replaced it with a Zenith and it had been working fine. Recently it has been running rough so I decided to take the carb off and give it a good cleaning. Not thinking I removed the idle screw without checking how many turns out it was. Can anybody tell me how many that"s supposed to be? I"m thinking 1 1/2 to 1 1/4 turns out from the bottom but was hoping somebody that"s had Zenith carbs would know what is best.

Thanks

Rick

There's NO "one size fits all" BEST setting, and each carb/engine is s little different.

Start @ 1-1/2 turns, then set it for the best SLOW idle after it's warmed up.

From that point, you MAY have to tweak it a BIT richer to get throttle response up from slow idle.
