Yep got my paystub today and it had my increase on from my lowered taxes. Only 1 problem, my health insurance went up also so instead of making an extra $13.00 i lost $6.00. But with a smile on my face i realize i didn't loose $19.00. Boy what a morale booster.
 
I ended up with an extra $9 in my check. I think I am going to put a down payment on my next can of classic green from JD with it. But like you said, it's better than nothing.
 
Wait until the big O lets W's tax cuts expire. Then mid class will be back to paying 39.6% income tax. So technically he gets to keep his campaign promise of not raising taxes...he just didnt sepcify he wouldnt renew the previous cuts.
 
What you have is the change in the withholdings rate the tax burden is still the same on your earning, so if you file your withholdings to owe or owe very little at the end of the year, you'll end up oweing alot next year. If you file your withholding so that you get a return at the end of the year you might still owe taxes next year.
 
I heard them say they were reducing the with holding tables, never heard any talk of reducing the tax tables at year end. I think we all in for a big surprize come tax time 2010.
 
Better up your withholding, when the year ends you will owe every bit of that $13 back plus even more if the tax cuts the Repulicans gave you are allowed to expire at the end of the fiscal year.
 

Agree 100%. They're after our money and they'll play the political shell game until they get it.
