Mobile Jobsite office trailer.....

Does anyone have a clue what a 8'wide by 28' long mobile jobsite office trailer is worth? It is pretty rought....Door is broke, 4" hole through the wall, Real rusty roof, Rough siding, tires would probobaly get it home....maybe...no steps, and the back overhead door is pretty well shot.....I said $500.00....the guy wants $1900.00 We are a ways apart obviously....
I figure it would take $800.00 materials and probobaly 40 hrs to make "nice". Am I looking at this wrong????

Anything 0 to 500. Friend of mine sold one to the junkers after a neighbor complained about it. Got $75.

Your $500 is about right. If you're anywhere near Nashville, TN; I have one the same size and worse shape and therefor cheaper that the wife wants out of here....

There have been a couple on Craigs List in or near Memphis........"in excellent shape" for $1500; last one was about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I'll see if they are still listed.

Back in the early '70's,when Pappy was dabbling in a side business in saddlery and horse gear, he went looking for a trailer to use as a mobile store at horse shows, teail rides, etc. My uncle was an engineer with the Illinois highway department, and he found a jobsite trailer that a construction company didn't want to be bothered with moving. It was a 1948 model, 28 feet long, narrow by today's standards, and had a drafting table and a couple of desks, an LP furnace that no longer worked, and a couple of closets. The two doors latched and locked, and the windows opened and closed, although some of the screens were rusted through.

The price? Fix a couple of tires, make sure the lights work, and tow it away. Nowadays, nobody gives anything like that away...so I figure you're probably about right at $500.
