I AM RESTORING A 530 JOHN DEERE MY GRANDPA BOUGHT NEW AND GAVE TO ME BEFORE HE DIED.I HAVE HAD A GREAT TIME AND HAVE BEEN ABLE TO KEEP EVERTHING JOHN DEERE.I HAVE MY STICKERS WHICH I GOT FROM TRAVIS JORDEE BUT I CAN NOT FIND A DIAGRAM ANYWHERE THAT SHOWS ME EXACTLY WHERE THEY GO.IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS I WOULD LOVE TO HERE FROM YOU.THANKS STEVE
 

Hello Steve, and Congratulations for owning a fantastic article..that 530..!
You will get plenty help here in YT...just post in the appropriate forums..or look in the "Archives"
and you will get the info you are looking for..
I have not placed decals (transfers) on a 530 yet..and you will want to do it correctly, I know..

One thing I can tell you..get the paint "right" first..
If it doesent shine like a "New Penny", Wet-Sand it down and Paint it again...you will be GLAD, later..!
I like to use worn-out 320 for wet-sanding..leaves NO sanding marks..

My 530 still has the factory decals on it.
1 - The hood JD name begins (on the R / side)
where the top water elbow bolts to the head
just match the L / side up the same distance.

2 - The 530 goes on the fan shroud yellow section,
matching the top line of the 530 with the top
line of the hood JOHN DEERE

3 - The small John Deere decal goes on the seat
back support.....centered

4 - Float ride seat adjustment is fitted for the
plate where the adjustment screw is

5 - The "BE Careful" decal is placed on the back
of the battery box, bottom center

6 - The Power-Trol decal is for the top center of
the Power-Trol unit

7 - Almost forgot! The decal for Power Steering
is placed on the bottom of the fan shroud
on the GREEN area under the yellow

Just getting here and typing questions or replies is about all of the computer knowledge I have, and most of that I picked up from my sons. I feel that eventually I'll get a camera and learn how to download photos (or digital images) My 530 Will get a new suit coat in a few years, but I'll record before and after pics for proof!
