Finally Found That Picture!

Back a few years ago, I bought this farm truck over the phone on a farm sale that was going on just north of Denver (just this side of 300 miles away).

How to get it home?

Left here at 2am. My Colorado friend and I yanked the sideboards and shoe-horned that Yukon in the bed, then shooved the sideboards underneath the Yukon. Was home by 4pm that same night. Hardest part was finding an old-fashioned loading dock to get that red rascal up in the truck. :>)

Knew I had a picture of that load somewhere around here; just found it. :>)

(quoted from post at 15:44:07 01/31/09) Luck on your side that thing didn't fall off,
Just a flat-bed wrecker ....without the roll-back & with sideboards!

That works out nice, did the same thing in '05, that old f-600 needing an accelerator pump, now I wish I took a picture, though the car was small, tiny '91 mercury capri, still got er on there with no room to spare, nailed some chock blocks in, strapped the back end down and off I went. The place where I bought the truck, modified a flatbed trailer for a ramp, lined up nice, same problem at home though I had an earthen dock started, had to build it up some more. Nothing like leaving at 2:00 a.m. runnin 600 miles, get that car on the back and run 800 miles back, 36 hour non stop, nice old faded truck, though that car made it ride nice, old bench seat was like a couch, surprisingly comfortable.
