Has anyone used plexyglass on thier OROPS either for a windshield or enclosed it completely? If so, how did you like the outcome ? Thanks in advance . Larry

works out okay. Not smash-proof but better than glass. Scratches easily but will be many years before needs replaced.

It works good, just NEVER clean it dry. Wet it down to get mud and dirt off, then wipe dry with a soft cloth, will last for years. Chris

Probably work ok, like the others said, that material does scratch and can fog up when cleaned, not too abrasion resistant. I would be real cautious if working in brush or wooded areas, clearing and grubbing, heavy woven wire metal type screen would be much better, things tend to poke in at you or come up at you when in heavy brush.

I used to have the fan blades turned back on a D8K and used an army shelter half to help collect the heat blown back from the radiator, blue foam board on the floor under my feet, dressed accordingly on this one job we had to work in sub zero weather. That particular model would throw quite a bit of heat, giant radiator, if it got to the high 30's into the 40's, it was too much, remember trying to get the mechanic out to switch em back in the spring that year. OROPS too, not enclosed.

One other note: Even though acrylic scratches easily there are polishing products that will, with some elbow grease, shine it back up. The ones I have used were for automobile convertible rear windows. I haven"t looked for them in a long time so I don"t know any names.
