Cub Cadet 2130 Riding Mower Won't Shift Out Of Neutral

The shifting lever is in neutral and I can't get it to shift to any other gear. Two years ago I had the same problem. I resolved it by sitting on the mower and rocking it back and forth mean-while I was depressing the gas and brake pedals very aggressively and rapidly while trying to move the shifting lever. All at once the lever moved forward, out of neutral. Unfortunately, we accidently shifted back to neutral today and our old trick doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

Thank you very much. I didn't realize there was a separate forum which is definately mores specific. I was, however, able to get my questions answered through a different source and everything is fixed and working well. See the website listed below. I will plan to use both sites in the future to help resolve the "tough ones".
