I had a link for "google maps" I used for measuring acres. lost it in a puter crash. Can anyone help? Thanks

There are several - take your choice or use em all:

maps.google.com
earth.google.com
maps.live.com

Personally I like the last because it has better and closer photo views - but I don't measure area so the other may suit you better.

How did you use them to figure acres?

You can also use:

http://websoilsurvey.nrcs.usda.gov/app/WebSoilSurvey.aspx

it has a rectangular or polygon program, you find your property on the US map and trace the boundaries of what you want to measure. It will tell you how many acres are inside the outline that you drew. If you have a "cookie blocker", you have to set it to medium or less to get the site to work.

Google Planimeter is what you want. You can measure acres with it...works real good.
