If they decide to do that, some farmers would lose their profit margin and others would not have any profit at all.

Gotta admit, it's a good way for the big folks to get the little guy out of the way.

Guess it's a scientific fact that cows in the barn sh!t and fart more than the ones outside. Sounds like some big dairy operations want to weed out some competition.

Nothing like being taxed at the grocery counter and getting taxed just because you have animals. Then being taxed because you have income, and because someone can't control their own expenses. How many times do you think one needs to pay tax. Pretty dum on the part of the people we elect, I'm not one to forget when it comes to my money.

Means it's hitting the mainstream media.
I think that tax would start to put animal protien out of the financial reach of many Americans. Something the Green/Veggie crowd would like to see. I can not believe we will let them tax us out of our back yard barbeques.
I emailed our own Senator Amy Klobuchar about it and got a non-descript, weasily answer from her.
If you people don't raise a ruckus about it we WILL have that tax.
 
More Farm Bureau smoke. The real goal is to do away with country or origin labeling. At the same time the Farm Bureau is all for requiring every animal in the country to have a computer chip under the skin so they can be tracked by the government and at the farmers expense. Their goal is to do away with individual ownership of small arms. They believe in contracting farms with large processors and they believe the over production problem (if there ever REALLY was a problem) is the fault of having too many small farms. I don't like or trust anything the Farm Bureau says.
