IH 1456 value

Can anyone tell me the value of a 1456 without a 3 pt. hitch? Overall, the tractor is very straight and runs well, but the cab is in rough shape. TA works good and it has the wide single rear tires instead of duals. Stored outside for the last 25 years. I'm thinking about purchasing it from my father and we're trying to settle on a fair price. Thanks for your time!

The value in this case would depend on a number of things. How bad does he need the money? Were you buying it to use or restore. Is it a Farmall or International (wheatland)? Does it have a PTO? Does it have 24.5-32 tires in good shape? Does it have sentimental value to you? From what you have said I would guess at between $4000 and $6000. Can you afford to put that much in a tractor right now?

I don"t think the tractor is a wheatland model. It does not have the rounded fenders? It has PTO and the tires are in decent shape. I am purchasing it to use as a loader tractor and maybe restoring it down the road.

Some of the wheatland tractors came with cabs instead of the big fenders. A few of the row crop tractors came without 3pt hitches. The wheatland tractors had lights in the top corners of the front grill and a non-adjustable wide-front axle. The row crop models have Farmall above the 1456 on the number badge. The 1456 makes a good loader tractor. I had a loader on one for a long time.
