OT: FarmPro tractors Good/Bad

Hello,
I am looking for some input on FarmPro tractors.
I am thinking about taking on a dealership, mainly the higher HP tractors and construction equipment.
I know there is a bunch of guys out there that wouldn't even think about a Chinese tractor, but the price is so cheap. I have never been a big fan of imports myself, but I have have done some looking and all I see are good reports about the tractors. I just thought i would see what you guys thought.
Any comments good or bad would be welcome
Thanks Ed

Hi,I know this is of no help regarding your question, but with all the real O/T sometimes,it would seem as if a legitimate tractor question would be O/T lol.By any chance are they any cheaper than Montana's or Kioti's?

I will be honest with you, I don't even no what OT means. I see other post with it so I put it in there.
It is hard to say about the price but what i see in the news paper ads they are way cheaper.

O/T always stood for 'off topic' in my book. And by the way, yes,it does seem a little OT to talk about tractors anymore.

Comparing Chinese tractors with U.S. brands is like comparing consumer grade products with commercial grade products. Each one suits a different type of user. Jim

You get what you pay for. I personally view buying a Chinese tractor as throwing your money away. It would be better if you bought a good used major brand.

They are cheaper for a reason. Quality....and I have heard nightmare stories about getting replacement parts. I agree that you would be better getting a used domestic tractor. At least you can get parts and no matter what you buy eventually you will need some parts.

Take a look at the link, it's for the Chinese Tractor Owners of America. They have self help tips, repair forums, pictures, etc. I looked into Chinese tractors a couple years ago and decided it was a bad idea. Yes, they are new. But the metal quality is inferior. They are just as likely to have injection pump and radiator failures as a 20yr old Deere or Ford. A Deere or Ford however will not be prone to the casting and gear failures that Chinese ones are. I opted for a 30yr old Ford. Good luck.

We have had a few in the shop. Save your money & buy an older American made tractor. Quality aint job 1 in China.

Some chinese stuff is good, and some isn't. Who would have ever thought that John Deere would be selling tractors made in India or other similar countries. Dave

New neighbor has a 2006 35HP FarmPro (Jinma). Bought it used last summer. He uses the heck out of it, doing all sorts of things. He's had to replace the water pump, and a couple other minor things. He had parts in a couple days and they were a LOT cheaper then other brands. I know 3 other guys who have them and they are well pleased with performance/parts and durability.
