hi , id appreciate any help or ideas on the following . i own a 51 grey fergie with a cracked block (beyond repair)
eventually i tracked someone down who was breaking a fergie and bought the engine off them, i stripped it down and cleaned it up etc , split mine only to find out the bell housing doesnt mate up to this new engine.it mates up on the carburettor side but the starter motor side is around 1 1/2 too small , the starter motor apperture is also a lot smaller on the replacement engine and doesnt meet up anywhere near the existing hole. any ideas what engine ive bought? or which engine i need to replace my cracked engine?
