OK, 2 things. I replaced the clutch on a 1975 ford backhoe, I'm having trouble adjusting it. I gave it all the way and the gears dont want to go in. the clutch feels good with tension and all, any sugestions????? Secondly, I started the same ford backhoe after an oil change and fuel change, and it is smoking white tru the dipstick and valve cover cap. its not knocking and has power, again please help.,

If I understand what you are saying right,"I give it all the way and the gears dont want to go in"sounds like its not releasing or the disc is in backwards maybe. The white smoke doesnt sound good.I guess its a diesel? All motors will have some blowby but getting smoke in the crankcase usually means its wore out real bad,has a piston that the rings are broke off,or a channel worn into the side of a piston,or maybe even a hole in a piston if its a diesel.

Hold on, like trucker said it could be in backwards and you now have adjusted it so that you are loading up the crankshaft thrust bearing, hence the white smoke. If that is the case you better check the main thrust bearing
when you split it again.
