Repaie time

Ever thought about how much time is spent working on these tractors, and equipment compaired to work in the field time? I guess if you have a fairly new equipment it isn't much. I just spent around 15 hours repairing my woods gearbox, and rebuilding the mower deck. Every motor rebuild adds a lot of hours also.Last year I rebuilt the motor in my crawler tractor. I couldn't even estimate how much time that involved. I guess if I didn't like doing it I would quit. Stan

Know what you mean. Started to do a simple bearing replacement in the governor on my JD A last summer. six weeks and about 50 hours of work later the governor is completely rebuilt, oil pump drive is rebuilt, etc. If you don'y enjoy doing the work, you'd quit.
