A way to spend a rainy day.

Went to the National Toy Show in Dyersville Iowa yesterday. Too wet to combine and I needed the break.

1000's of people there. This is just one room of vendors. Had to be over 200 vendors there. If you have never experience the show try to make it sometime. You do not have to be a collector to enjoy the tractors and toys on display. The last picture is one of the many farm scenes on display.

That corn elevator is hand made and fully functionable. Turn a crank and the corn goes into the crib. The farmhand loaders are all hand made as well.

Thanks for the pictures. Amazing stuff.

I was really surprised to see, in the second picture, a model of a Jayhawk hay sweep/stacker!! My dad had one, which had been converted to hydraulic. I still have the cylinder and cylinder carrier and several oak stacker teeth.

Driving and using one was a good way to learn how to back a trailer! We used it on a Farmall M. There was a add on oil tank for the hydraulic pump and getting good at raising the head coming into the stack with the "non-live" hydraulics took experience!

Thanks again.

Neat pics, Gary. I may need to put that on my list of places to see when in IA.
