closing bell ??

Did I hear those guys correctly in the interview of The Closing bell?

My understanding is , the reason the price of oil is dropping That the intentions was for economic reasons for the people to be able to spend more money at the stores to boost local businesses.

What are they saying ? After Christmas , It's going back up?

Maybe THAT is where the $500 Bazillion Dollars is being spent..??
What a county of scum-bags---they are ALL holding their HAND out...
I guess I should, too---but I was taught to save, then PAY CASH--in FULL...
Maybe it would be best if the market completely went Belly UP....!!!
I ain't gonna Starve...like a lot of folks will...!!

Diesel is about 15 cents a litre more here than gas. News media says its lower on the refining chart than gas but there is a shortage in the usa. Is diesel more than reg gas down there?

Portland OR (per gasbuddy)Reg $2.11 (one Costco) to 2.59 (most majors); diesel $2.98 to 3.99 (most majors).

Unless speculators get in and run the price up thinking that THEY are going to make a lot of money...

Greg

Diesel has been running about a dollar a gallon more than gas for a couple years. I guess that would be $.23 a liter higher

That's sort of a simplistic view of things like IR's. They always said gas is going up because the price of oil is rising. When the price of oil went down and gas still rose, then we were told the price of oil didn't have anything to do with fuel prices.
The price of a barrel of oil kept rising unsubstantiated by any effect. So the higher it went the more the people said, "drill anywhere", then after they passed the drill anywhere, the bottom dropped out of the price of oil.
Now let's hear your Barney Fife impersonation, "Conspiracy Theory, Conspiracy Theory". That's why I said "simplistic view". Your local parts store and several other businesses, have three or four different prices on the same thing, just how they figure they can get over on you. So you think this doesn't happen on a gander scale?
