Idea For A TV Show

I've been kickin' this around for awhile...and I'm surprised no one's thought of it yet. "Trick My Tractor" You might've seen those shows where they take someone's vehicle and customize it for them. "Pimp My Ride" is one of 'em and "Trick My Truck" for semi's. What if they took a person's tractor and rebuilt it from the ground up for tractor pulling? They could have just plain old farmers who want to get into pulling. They could have an engine builder work on building up the engine, a sheet metal and paint guy for looks, and a couple seasoned tractor pullers around for advice, then when the tractor's finished they'd bring the farmer back and show him his new pulling tractor and a "before" picture. Then to end the show they could have the tractor debut in an actual pull. Now, don't go runnin' off to the networks with my idea, but whadya think? : )

Some might like it but I would be pretty ticked off if someone converted mine into a puller.

RFD TV might be another channel that would possibly be interested in hosting such a show and you might be lucky enough to get Max Armstrong to host it. Worth a try.

The idea has already been pitched to CMT and other shows. They are not interested in picking up the cost compared to the small special interest target group. I know of two attempts that have been made.

Yeabut-- this makes me think of a friend who has a UB Minneapolis and he wins lots of less "formal" (local old iron) pulls. There's nothing fancy lookin' about his Minney. It needs paint. But it's bored and stroked with hi compression so it makes 110 hp. Fancy lookin' and winnin' don't necessarily go hand in hand. I've told him it deserves paint and he shrugs and says that wouldn't make it pull better.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained...
If your serious, here's an idea that just came to mind. Check out this website,

then start emailing the celebs that show their support and pitch your idea with the idea of getting them involved. End product would (hypothetical) be a restoration that pulls a float in a parade in recognition of the boys and girls taking care of our freedom, to a puller like you mentioned duded up with the appropriate logos. Folks like Toby Kieth, Tim Mcgraw, Gary Sinise (CSI NY, and LT Dan on Forrest Gump) have been bending over backwards for these kids, they might welcome a new twist. Someone could end up with a tractor with the logo on it or their barn roof painted with a logo, but why not try.

THAT WOULD BE GREAT!
I still miss Monster Garage...but I guess Jessie James has his hands full with Sandra

I got plenty of junk around here, and lots of tools- anyone wanna come over and build something?

Here's what I've wanted to do- start a Motorsports Ministry for the young men at church-
actually build a bogger, or a drag car, or an oval tracker or heck even a pullin' tractor (whatever they wanted) with boys from church and tie it in to biblical lifestyle and choices. pastor sees no value in it. One of our elders owns a junk yard, so it probably wouldn't cost a dime....but....
