Gas went up in east Kentucky today by at least 35 cents a gallon. This morning price was 3.65 for regular, when I left work it was at 4 even. Most stations we're saying that they were going to raise more by morning, maybe as high 5 even.

Went up to $3.49 this afternoon. Was $3.45 this morning and
$3.41 last night here is southeast SD. Diesel is down again today to
$3.81.

I filled up this morning at a kroger's for $3.69, almost that is cause the pump ran out. A fuel truck pulled in as i was leaving. The cashier said she heard the price was going over $4 today. This was about 45 miles north of Atlanta.

Paid $4 even today at noon at the small store here. Brother said it had gone up to 4 in Henderson when he got off work. Last night on the news they said alot of stations were limit'n people to 10 gallons.

I put over 30 in the half ton, yep it was empty.

When I went in to pay the girl I have known all my life asked if I seen the sign, said what sign. They had a note on the pump that said you could only get 10 gallons. Hope they don't run out, it'l be my fault.

Here in the extreme SW part of NC(Murphy area) it ranges from 4.89 to 5.17. I go to Chattanooga daily for radiation treatments and stop in the Ocoee river valley at the same station every day. Monday was 3.59. Wed was 3.79. Today was 4.29 with a 10 gal shutoff. Cant keep this up. It is 160 miles RT to the hospital and will cost me well over $55 a day for gas just t get to take my radiation. id see some rusty old Farmalls today though at an old Farmall dealer now Case. Had an H, M, and 400 and lots of newer junk around. Must try to deal them out of something sometime. Henry

$3.34 in York, PA today. Best prices in the state.

Tomorrow it will be near $5 a gallon.

Speculators speculate about speculating. That's never a good thing.

I heard it is over $5 in North Carolina today. Pretty weak system when hurricanes cause a spike like that. Fact of the matter is we needed energy independence at least 30 years ago. It was 3.69 here yesterday. Got 3 gallons for the mowers thinking it was alot to pay at that price, but seeing this $4 and $5 fuel, well....highest I can recall us having (NE Ohio)was 4.09.

I'm already tired of the political ads, just two poltiicians attacking each other with talk, whoever gets elected lets see some ACTION.

wait till next week when the bS about this hurricane is over, the price will drop.

I'm half hour SW of St.Louis. Gas went from 3.55 yesterday to 3.69 today. First station (phillips) didn't have any gas & second (shell) said they got there load today, but were a day late. This isn't normal. It did seem to be busier than most days. I guess everybody is worried about prices going up cause of the hurricane.

False shortages, news hype, gouging,..
If most people are running around on a 1/4 tank because they can't afford to put a weeks pay check in their tank and then hear prices is going to jump .50-1.00 a gallon, there's a lot more places for excess fuel to go. And then if you have a little storage space this false shortage perpetuates runs on gas and if the stations don't order regular because they haven't been selling as much, everything just falls in the speculators hands. 3.59 to 3.99 in a couple hours here. We use so little, topped of with 25 gallons and it will probably last two months.

The news showed that parts of tenn was up to 5.29 a gallon this evening..

They say it will be up more tomorrow..

Of course they also talked about how tenn law makers won't stand for price gauging in the same story..

These price spikes have nothing to do with speculators.

Try bellyaching to the individual retailers.

And just so everyone knows, specualtors make money when the price falls too. I know that my blow some circuits in your brains, but it's true. Speculators are necessary in a free market, as they are the ones that alert the rest of us to higher/lower demand/supply.

Upstate SC - One local was 3.39 yesterday morning, 4,29 later in the afternoon. Exxon was 3.49 yesterday morning, 3.99 in the afetrnoon. Diesle at the Exxon was 3.99 in the morning, 3.89 in ther afternoon, no lines at the pumps........Glad I have a diesel.
