I know owning a Ford always keeps me on the Edge .The edge of bankrupcy & a nervous breakdown . Kidding ! I only own Fords but never had an Edge . Good luck & may God bless, Ken

Daughter is well pleased with hers. Seems a very solid car. Would consider one if in the market. Local independent garage owner bought one.

I own one and would have to say it is the best handling and most comfortable SUV I have ever owned.The one I have is all wheel drive and handles excellent in the winter.We previously had an 03 Explorer and our Edge is a much nicer ride.We average in the low 20MPG range with it,but am willing to sacrifice some MPG for the superior leg room and comfort the Edge has to offer compared to the others we test drove in its class.I would recommend one to anybody I know.Just my two cents.

I bought one this Summer. Front wheel drive. Pretty heavy car with the full roll cage in it. About 4500 lbs. It gets about 19 in town and when I went home last month it got 27 on the hwy.
I really like the car, but one point.
DO NOT put Armorall on the dash!!! The windshield glare will trash your eyes with that curved windshield and the big dash.
Ford has a non-glare protectant-cleaner that works great. It's in the owners mamual and is about 6 dollars a bottle. Good stuff. I am sure someone makes it for them...but haven't been able to find out who yet.
I have nothing but good words for it so far. One of their better ideas, and with the hungry dealers...a good buy if you are careful.

I dislike Fords from way back, I work as a mechanic and they're very tough to work on , but to be fair I rented one last year when on vacation, as much as I hate to admit it I loved it. Not sure I'd buy one buthandled well and was comfortable even for a big guy , I'm 6'2" and weigh about 270

Also look at the Honda CRV. Mom has one and likes it.

Bought an 08 in March. It's an all wheel drive. Pleased so far. Our mileage is a bit better than some have indicated ( but maybe not that much better because I am figuring CDN gallons and CDN gas, also no winter driving yet).
