I've become kind of the go to guy in the neighborhood for repairing balers. Don't claim to know it all but i have made enough stupid mistakes that i have learned from. anyway got home to find a message on answer machine saying neighbors baler missing 3 out of 4 bales. when i watched him try it I became very suspisious when the string was breaking in different places. Something must be tugging on that string. everything looked good on the knotters so I suspected to find a mess in the twine box but no everything good in there. so started tracing twine from box and saw that he ran the string on the wrong side of the guides. Rerouted twine and he tried it. baled 10 bales perfectly. But now it is getting dark and somewhat tough so he had to quit. To bad he waisted all day for something with such an easy fix. Morel of the story is to check twice when threading the baler.
