Super C compression

Flat top pistons - 105-110psi or so would be about normal for a new rebuild. Less as it gets worn.

High Compression or Fire Crater pistons - 130 - 135psi, maybe a little more with oversize pistons on a new rebuild.

All four cylinders should be within about 10% of each other and there is some varience from engine to engine.

I am new to tractor restoration. A man has a super c and two c tractors for sale. The super c runs good, but it needs a lot of work and just wanted to test the compression etc.. I guess all three of these tractors dont have live ptos.

You are right, none of them will have a live PTO.

You won't know what kind of pistons it has, and it has an unknown amount of hours on it so I would look for 90psi and above and the high cylinder no more than 10% higher than the low cylinder. Anything over 90 psi is better yet.
