Does anyone have any information on old pull type/horse drawn road graders. I don't know what make it is but i have a rusty old relic in the back yard i salvaged from the local township. If anyone has any information or knows of a website or book that would have any info it would be greatly appreciated. Mike Leggett

Is it an Adams Road Patrol? I have got a friend who has one on his farm and still uses it once in a while to grade the gravel back onto his driveway. His grandfather had it. Last year, a guy wanted to buy it in the worst way and I talked him out of it. I thought that after the deal is done, you've got his cheque, and he's got your grampa's grader. He thought for a while and then decided to keep it, even though he's not into collecting or anything. Keep that stuff in the family I always say!!!

I'm not sure what make this grader is Mike, but i'm hoping to find something to tell me on it. I would like to restore it and then possibly donate it to the local heritage society/antique tractor club my dad belongs to. These graders seem to be pretty popular and sell for a good price, I saw one for $1200 in a buy and sell newspaper.

Re: George's request for a pull type road grader. I have one for sale. It is a Russell Junior, all parts are there and it still works. Needs a little cleaning up. It was once used to grade roads pulled by horses. Asking price $1000.00 or best offer. Contact me by email or phone 715-564-3205 Thank you

I also have the same question as Mike from Ontario. BigToy.com didn't have my type shown but when I can get a better picture than I have, I do plan to post the same question.
The problem the brown background and the brown rust hides the equipment very well.
I find some old equipment calenders are a good source. I had a library borrowed book for a while that had much of this equipment and I still find History Books at the library a excellent source but names are often ommitted.
