John Deere 820 Brakes

Yesterday one brake line blew for the rear wheels. This was the line that supplies braking to the right rear wheel from the main cylinder under the floor board. I repaired with a new line and attempted to bleed brakes. Both pedals push to the floor board with minimal braking. Is there a different bleed process to recover braking?

You bleed those with the engine running and there is a bleeder screw on top of the axle housing. Hook some clear tubing onto the screw and run it into the reservior and then loosen it and depress only that pedal until clear fluid shows with no bubbles then tighten up the bleeder but BE CAREFUL the pedal will come up so don't hold it too hard. Repeat on the other side.

I'm assuming it is like the next models up like a 1020 which you just open the bleeder, push the pedal down, hold it down and fluid will keep flowing until bubble free, then close the bleeder and the pedal will fly up on it's own.
I think yours is an open center hyd. system while the ones I did were closed center. But I am hopeing they are set up the same. 820 and 830 3cyl. are kinda scarce.
