I recently bought a new holland 660 round baler. I have never used a round baler with a monitor but I have hooked it up and all the lights come on it kinda of squeals then ticks. It won't let me push any of the buttons and everything stays lit up. Please help

Sounds like you have the bale command system, not Autowrap. I don't know how to fix it, but once you do you should be happy with the baler.

Not having a book is your biggest problem. Call 1-800-635-4913 with a credit card in hand and order an operator's manual for both the 660 and the bale command unit at least. Order the service manual if you can.

When you first turn the monitor on, it has to run through a "check cycle". This is where it is self checking the system. It will probably take 15 seconds, maybe more. During this time, it will make some strange sounds. I don't know about the ticking though. If I remember correctly, none of the buttons will work during the start-up cycle. Another thing, the monitor does NOT like dirt and heat. It seems that ours does not work very well in a tractor that does not have air-conditioning. When we switched to a tractor that was air-conditioned, it seemed to work much better. Maybe it was a coiencidence(sp?). You will love the bale command when it works, but CUSS it when it doesn't!!
