I purchased a 420AN Belarus three years new. It has been nothing but trouble. it stays broke down and the company i purchased it from would not stand behind it. The Belarus Tractor Co. also will not stand behind them. I have had the dealers own mechanic plus three others state that the one I purchased is a LEMON. In three years I have only beenable to put less than 60hrs on it. The clutches, transmissions, starters do not last... They overheat. You name it they won't do it.Save your self a lot of grieve and money stick to tried and true tractors.

Your right I am ill because Belarus basicaly stole $11,000.00 of my very hard earned money. I recently found out from a source in Russia that they not only stole from me but that they produced tractors and did not even pay their suppliers in Russia to the tune of 50 something million dollars and more. And that was from the people in Russia. Now you idiot who ever you are ( I assume you are part owner in Belarus and probably one of the thieves that belong in jail, read the following letter I received just recently. If Belarus ever wants to clear their name they need to either replace the junk they sold or refund a lot of money, and I doubt that either will ever occur. After all it's screw the stupid Americans that bought our products at a time when we needed help with our economy and these people were willing to trust in us. Isn't that what it really was. One of the reasons I purchased that tractor was that I thought by doing so I was helping another people into a better way of life. So don't say I'm ill you damn idiot. Unless I'm treated right by someone over there I will never again try to back any country such as Russia or it's satellite states.
This letter came to me from a company in Kharkov, Ukraine. A company trying to sell parts for the Belarus tractor

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your letter.
I do absolutely understand your situation, because I often receive such
letter from different unhappy Belarus tractor owners worldwide.

I will try to explain my position regarding this matter I hope you will
understand what I mean.

The initial problem in all such a cases is that "Belarus Machinery Inc", the
company which was owned by people from Moscow had been selling tractors and
after ones were sold, they left the owner with his new tractor on his own
and never helped him neither with advice or with spare parts service.

My last customer from Iowa has had the similar situation. He had been
writting many times directly to "Belarus Machinery Inc" and he never
received any reply back.

The engine of his Belarus-1770 had been badly damaged from the vibration and
he tried to find out what was the problem, but nobody helped him either with
a piece of advice or with damaged spare parts.
He has not been able to repair his tractor since May 2000, and at last I was
lucky to find him via GreekAds Belarus Mailing Lists
(http://www.mikresagelies.com/mailinglists.htm)

all the spare parts that was needed. Also we contacted the manufacturer and
tried to find out several reasons of this vibration.

Now he received all spare parts and he is in process of overhauling him
engine. He was very much happy with our service and prices. We guarantee the
quality and long term service of all spare parts within some period of time.

You may contact him by E-mail ( Contact person: Elna or Don Clikeman E-mail:
). He will be happy to explain you his situation
with Belarus tractor that he has had.

Yes, I will agree with you that such a cases gives a very bad image for all
Belarus models, because despite the fact that they came from different
manufacturers, they have been sold in the USA under the name of Belarus.

For example, your 420 model is produced by factory in Lipetsk, Russia.
But most of Belarus tractors are made in Minsk, Republic of Belarus.

We are located in the city of Kharkov, Ukraine.
Now, all these three former USSR republic are independent states and we are
happy not to be under the pressure of Moscow any more.

The thing is that people Moscow from used to take tractors without paying
for them and supplied them wolrdwide to their own companies like "Belarus
Machinary Inc" in the USA, "Belarus Tractor and Trading in Australia" and
even when they sold them they didn't paied for them. After colapse of the
USSR, all such a Belarus companies have a huge debt before different tractor
manufacturers in Belarus and Ukraine.

These manufacturers have not received the money for the supplied tractors
and in some cases amount of debts reached many million dollars. For example,
approximate amount of debts to "Minsk Tractor Works" reached $ 50 000 000;
debts to "Kharkov Tractor Works" - around $ 5 000 000.

After that had happened all factories stopped supplying spare part to
"Belarus Machninary Inc" and its counteparts all over the world and as a
result there is become a lack of spare parts for some models.

But this is just general overview of the situation and in any case Belarus
Machinery Inc must provide service of sold tractors. But it doen't do it at
all, as you can see.our service as a supplier of tractor spare parts. But in some case this is
not very easy because of former bad image of "Belarus Machinery Inc".

If you feel that we can be helpful for you or just want to find out any more
information just contact me directly.

I will be very much happy to help you with your problems.

Waiting for your kind reply and further correspondence.

Alex.
This person tells it like it is. The problem is I can't afford to even try to repair a tractor that I already spent so much on. By the way that fine tractor you tell me I have has only been able to run about 200 hours in almost seven years. if you figure the initial amount paid for it divided by the hours multipled by the years I'e had it that comes to about $385.00 an hour just to start the damn thing. So my dear Moin ( you must be Russian) and a rich one ( probably from us stupid Americans)if you can afford to operate a Belarus Tractor. Quit trying to fool the Americans. I will do my best to spread the word about Belarus to anyone who will pay attention. And what makes it even more sickening is that the U.S. Government lets companies such as this do bussiness in our country and won't help our own people recover their losses.

I wouldn't be so quick to put down the Belarus tractors. We have 3 belarus tractors in Canada that have been nothing but perfect. You must remember that these are machines and no matter what make or color all machines will break and have to be repaired. Big companies also have lots of lemons that people forget about mainly because of the company name. Take for example the IH 784 four wheel drive with the Kimco front ends. That was a disaster for IH, rims were flying off these machines non stop ! Also, clutches to not burn after 60 hours (c'mon man) if you were having trouble with your clutch the problem could be one of two things either the person installing the clutch puts the plate in Backwards or the operator won't take his foot of the clutch pedel. If a machine is well looked after and well opperated it will last for a very long time for example, our 500 Belarus just topped 6000 hours and STILL no problems. The Belarus tractor is well worth the investment

I have a Belarus 250A and the finger on the clutch look worn. They are only about 1/8" thick
on the end where the throw out bearing touches
them. One deal said it looks like your throw
out is froze. The clutch has been working ok
till today. I bought the tractor used and it
has 220 hrs on it. Looks like I might have to
split it and replace some stuff.
What is the beat way to split and support the
tractor halfs and move them apart?

WHAT COULD A GUY DO TO FIX THAT PROBLEM? ALSO HOW HARD IS WORKING TOO HARD. I AM TRYING TO FARM WHEAT ABOUT 500 ACRES. THANKS
