Mccormick deering horse drawn corn planter?

hello all! I am 16 and am starting to reastore a mccormick deering 2 row horse drawn corn planter for a 4-H project that will be pulled with my team of mules. I was wondering if anyone knew ere i could get a manual, and then a place to see some pictures of one in operation and were to get decals. thank you

Another idea. Do you have any Amish settlements near you? They use that kind of planting equipment year in and year out.

After a two minute search I came up with a sales poster for a two row McCormick planter at the Wisconsin Historical Society. Do you have any agricultural museums near you? Maybe try a search for agricultural museums and give some of them a call. Tell them what you're looking for.

Sounds like a good project David, so keep us posted on the progress.

Now,what model number do you have or do you still need to figure that out?

I have a book that has three differant models of McCormick horse drawn planters pictured.

The No.8, No.102, and the No. 112 are pictured with a short caption.
