My 250as intermittantly stops pulling. No grunts, grinds, bangs or anything! Just quits. If you full around with the shifters, High - Low shifter mostly, it will go back to pulling. This problem seems to be getting worse. I can find no damage anywhere and all fluids are good. Could this be a clutch adjustment problem? How sensitive are the clutches to work on?

Thanks, Mike

I have the same problem with my belarus 250as, it just stops moving, the engine still runs but no motion. I changed the clutch because it was about wtl, everything worked fine. Then it did the same thing again. After trouble shooting, there seems to be an engineering flaw in the trans. in the high and low range gear. I removed the trans. stick lever and found that where the stick goes down into the gears. When shifting the high and low gear, sometimes will shift to far right or left and the lever stick is unable to reach the gear to return to N, H or L speed whatever the case maybe. Is there a fix out there to stop this?

THE INTERLOCK IS NOT ENGAGED ON THE GEAR SLIDE RODS AND IT JUST SLIPS OUT OF HIGH LOW RANGE. YOU CAN ADJUST IT AT THE SMALL LINKEAGE MID RIGHT SIDE OF TRACTOR THAT MOVES WHEN YOU MASH THE CLUTCH PEDAL. NORMALLY YOU NEED TO LENGTHEN THE ADJUSTMENT BUT DEPENDS. YOU SHOULD ADJUST IT WHERE YOU CANNOT PULL THE SHIFTER OUT OF GEAR UNTIL THE CLUTCH IS DOWN 3/4 WAY TO THE FLOOR BOARD. THE INTERLOCK IS THE ONLY THING THAT HOLDS IN THE HIGH LOW RANGE GEAR SINCE THE SHIFTER HAS MOVED TO ANOTHER POSITION WHEN OPERATING. BEEN THROUGHT THIS AND BELIEVE ME YOU CAN FIX IT.

HOW DID YOU FIX YOURS. MINE APPEARS TO HOP OUT OF GEAR THEN WON'T MOVE ANYMORE.

IF I TURN IT OFF AND RESTART IT AND MOVE HIGH LOW ETC IT WILL MOSTLY GO BACK INTO GEAR.

IT APPEARS TO BE THAT THE GEARS HAVE NOT ENGAGED.

When you say it stops pulling is the clutch slipping or is the engine quitting?
