TSX sintered bronze plug solvent ideas?

Float hung up on the International
424 and I had no idea until gas
started pouring out everywhere it
wasn't supposed to be. I thought I
had a spare plug but I must have
used it in the last TSX I rebuilt.
I have some on order now but I'm
trying to get this one cleaned for
now. As usual nothing I've tried
has helped. Carburetor cleaner,
brake cleaner, goof off and of
course air.

Has anyone found something that
will actually work? Absolutely no
air or liquid will come through and
it's not going back on until it
will do what it's supposed to.

I gave up on unplugging mine after using every solvent I had, including denatured alchohol, mineral spirits, xylol and methyl-ethyl-ketone (MEK). I ended up buying a replacement from Robert$ Carburetor. If you've found another source for these plugs, please post it.

For the sintered bronze ''strainer'' GOOGLE ''Marvel 95-78''.

They can even be gotten through DEERE dealers, the DEERE parts system recognizes ''95-78'', PRICEY, but no freight if ordered on a stock order, which brings the price in line with some on-line sources.

An alternative is to drill out the hole and tap it to 1/8'' pipe thread and use a screw-in sintered bronze filter/strainer such as the one below on Amazon.

Roberts, McDonald's, Deere, and Just 8N's are the only places I could find them.
Deere # 95-78
Ford # 9N-9694-B
IH # 373387R1

Roberts is $8 in one place and $20 in another. Didn't understand that but they limited the order to 2. McDonald's was about $8 (I think).. Just 8N's was $8 and no limit.
