The name of this clip?

I have worn out a PTO push pin on my mower. I replaced it with a spare pin and then ordered a new one to replace the spare. I think the replaced pin will outlive me, but I want to try to repair the worn one and I'd like to have a new clip for peace of mind. They've gotta be cheap. The whole replacement pin kit was only about $12, but this is an excuse for me to learn a little more about using my metal lathe. Here's a picture of the pin kit, and I'm interested in the little clip holding the spring in position.

Where did you get the new one??? I needed for a New Holland PTO shaft.
I went to the dealer and was told NLA. No longer available.
Because they are unsafe!!!
So, that's what I did. Turned one out. Served its purpose!!!

There is supposed to be an outfit making them. But I lost the info about them.
Anyone out there know who I'm talking about???

Yep , got told same thing about unsafe. Found some outfit on flebay or that outfit that prime. Didnt really like the pin snap ring, rather have pinch clip. The metric ones take 3 hands to install.

Ebay has several sellers of these replacement kits. I ordered one from someone who calls themselves ohiodieselparts. The last one that I bought came from Rural King, but that was several years ago. Yeah, they're dangerous if you were to get your clothes tangled in it. I've used this mower for almost 40 years with no mishap.

I don't see how they are unsafe since if the tractors shield is there it is under that and inside of the end . You would have to work to get anything in there unless you tried. Those twist deals for a lock suck if they get a bit of dirt and oil in there they will not let the balls come out of the position so you can get them on or off very well. Those that slip back while trying to push the shaft on are as bad. Sort of like a push hand clutch while backing up to hitch up to something.

Wheat, I just pulled this out of the mailbox.

I have no connection with this company other than being a happy customer.

I need a couple exact like that, cant find them any more too dangerous.

Duh, if you arent shielded and you are going to get that close to a spinning pto.... huh....

Wish I could find a couple yet.
