1936 BR, trying to replace the B shift plate that was on it. The BR shift plate I bought won't go on. It will only go within an
inch of forward position. I put the B unit back on, and double checked neutral. BR plate still no go. I checked them side by
side, and found that the engagement plates on mounted opposite, that is one bolts to front, the other to rear. Added to that,
the B plate has the engagement plate at a approximate 60 degree angle, while the BR plate is at 90 degrees. Included pics, the
greasy one is B, the other is BR. Anybody know what is wrong, and what I need to do? Is it possible that the 1936 plate differs
from later, and I bought a later version? Appreciate any help, I am in deep doo doo on this one...
Forgot to mention, my shift plate is B707R, which should be correct....
