Stanton Old Fashioned Days today. We did the tractor show in the morning and parade this afternoon. I got my picture taken with beauty queens from all over Michigan. It's still good to be da king. LOL I forgot my sash, so Mary pulled my bib strap over to the side like a sash and so you could see my name and crown on my shirt. One of the guys who was in the contest with me, and glad he dodged the bullet, said ''Dang, if I'd known this was what it was all about, I'd have spent $500 of my own money to win!''.

I told the guy who's sorry now that he lost, that I'll have tears in my eyes when I have to turn over the crown next year. LOL
 
I was thinking about you while looking at a Cockshutt 1655 diesel MFWD at the local tractor show featuring Oliver this year. Good show but I think that the attendance was light just like the JD Expo in July.

Was that the Pageant of Steam? I was going to go this year. I haven't been in 5-6 years, but with so little hay weather this year I couldn't commit to anything long range. Hopefully next year.
 
I sure do. I've got it down pat. Somewhere on the web, there's a picture of the club queen and me doing it in perfect unison.

As far as the "parade wave", I'd ditch that. Usually that looks so cheesy and fake, especially if everyone is not completely coordinated. It looks a lot more genuine if you just wave normally. Just my opinion.
 
They keep your eyes off me anyway. Nobody is looking at me to know if I'm good looking or not.
