lol, i will stand in for Red Green, the wisest man ever.

Guys, i know what you're thinking - *What the heck, Red, you're telling me to spend five dollars?!?!?* Now, believe me, I understand, but this is your safety we're talking about here.

Now, had it been TEN dollars...

yep yep, they did have good stuff. sure funny how they compare them to deere . what about the case promotions? i had to tune my neighbor in last night. he kept referring the ih stuff as case. i said case had nothing to do with ihc back then.

For a time IH was ahead but the new 3010 and 4010's took everyone by surprise. A 560 can in no way compare to 4010 and with all the rear end problems the 560's had did nothing to help IH. Tom

your right it cant, its competition is the 3010. but the 660 would run all over the 4010. but yes that diff. problem was a down fall for ihc.

Well there you have it. That finally solves the age old question,,,what's better? IH or John Deere? Now if we can only figure out what is better? Chevy or Ford?

The New Generation is still off by 14 months & some of the larger 60 series are just starting to experience the rear end failures, going by the date in the filmstrip (6-15-59).

Which makes this video interesting, as their future is still golden & they don't have a clue. The narrator even gets a bit smug.

Mike

The comparisons sounded a bit frivolous at times. And a touch boastful. It's also bit out of character for IH, compared to their other comparison filmstrips

Also....

They, JIC, still wouldn't have had anything to do with IH if it weren't for Tenneco.

I like how cnh was bragging about so many years of farmall awhile back yet the last real farmall was in about 1989 . Id still take a real farmall over any of this new emissions computer crap

m would out run an A in mellow soils pulling 3 bottom plows. hit the hard strips of tiger $#!?? n the A gets louder front wheels rise to make line of draft straight on plow n never stop. the M shifts down spins a tad raises plow couple inches.
at the end of the day both covered about same acres but the A used less fuel and operator was not tired from shifting all the time.
sorry but the A never had the head off still runs great,M overhauled 2 times.. we had both ,both were bought new.
look who didnt merger with another company too

It's the 100th anniversary of the Farmall this year & I'm not sure what you are referring to about the last Farmall anything being built after the merger ('85). The Farmall name was dropped in '73 & the last tractors sold as a cultivator type that were Truly New Farmalls, without the name, was the 3388 & 3588.

... and Deere nudged ahead in sales before the 3010/4010 even came to be. It's why the film strip didn't feature IH vs AC. Or Ford. Or MF. Or Oliver. Or MM.

Advertising only goes so far. Reality does the rest.
