i believe it is the parking brake lock lock pedals together and apply and pull up and turn should lock the pedals

From what I can see it looks like an aftermarket heater. Does it have connections for heater hoses? The tractor may have had something for a cab or enclosure on it at one time and someone added a heater for winter use.

Could be a hydraulic system radiator/cooler. the fan is blowing away from the operator. Jim

The back of the housing is solid sheet metal. It has one 12v or signal
wire running out of it thats disconnected & theres two hoses. Heres
photos of where theyre running to.

The cab at a minimum had a windshield previously because I see a
wiper mechanism. The tractor does have a loader.

X2 looks like a heater to me. At one time probably had a
switch with a couple resistor to give the fan 2-3 speeds.

The last 2 pics are hot water connections, so probably go to heater box. Had some kind of weather protection on it , Maybe soft cab.

its a fresh air machine.break wind its blown away.
heat houser with a heater.even on a cold day that turned on might feel good open station or not
