Two Row cultivator on a John Deere 50

I bought a 50 John Deere Tractor last fall and also found a two row cultivator for it. Now that it is starting to get warmer, I want to start putting the two together.
I have attached a picture of the plugs that are in the valve system to make the rock shaft work. Are they the right ones?
Can someone attach a picture of what the plugs look like for the ends of the hoses that go to a hydraulic cylinder?
Thanks,
Tall German

What you have is a dummy plug that sits in the outlet when
not in use. Here is what they should look like.

I believe those plugs will make the rockshaft work. Cultivated a lot of corn with a JB B, Rolla-Matic really makes it nice. One of our two Bs had the JD umbrella, which made the task much more pleasant. Later dad went to a rear mounted 4 row on a JD 3020, much easier and faster but I thought more mind numbing. You spent all day staring at the guide bar. My cousin and I had to do all the cultivating, grandpa, dad and my uncle could not resist looking back to see the finished job.

yeah, when I had a rear mount, I mounted truck mirrors on each side of the frame so I could see what the cultivator was doing behind. Helped keep me from getting a "rye neck"

Thanks Steve for the pics. I made copies for when I get to the shop.

When you pull these plugs out the oil gushes out while you are getting the next ones in. If you wouldn't mind, I could use a pic from your manual of how you check the oil level. Dip stick or oil level plug?

Guy I worked for had a Deere 494 4-38 planter for corn and a 690 6-30 planter for beans. He did all his
cultivating with a 520, both corn and beans. That 6-30 frt mounted cultivator REALLY made that 520 bark. I
LIVED 1-1/2 miles upwind and could hear that 520 when he worked late. Only tractor of his I never ran, never
wanted to. Guts were blown out of the muffler.
