Looks like the tractors are in the upstairs hay loft. And the pictures are taken in two different barns.

Must have put a lot of extra timbers under the mow floor to hold all that weight with it concentrated in such small space like that. Those tractors would weigh about what half a mow of hay would with only a quarter of the surface area for weight on the floor.

The top picture looks like the construction used in many barns in Ontario
built in the mid to late 1800s with some hand cut timbers.
