I don't know much about AC but since this
one has hand brakes and no hand clutch
does that make it an early model?

All the WC models had foot clutch (only) and hand brakes. Traction clutch came later on the WD and WD-45 tractors, so yes it is earlier than 1948 I think.

WD replaced the WC during the 48 model year. This one having styled sheet metal would be 39 to 48 model. Also no model decal until 51.
We are having a heat wave here in east central MN, hit 34 degrees today.
