I know this is a silly question but we all start somewhere. On the far right of this picture is a pump with a cap. It appears to be hooked to injection pump. Is it part of the injection pump?

What is it and do I need to add fluids or maintain it? The manual I have ( for my Ford 3600 ) does not mention it at all.

I got the picture off the web but mine is the same.

That housing holds the gear that drives the injection pump, the cap is where you add engine oil.

Thanks. That would explain why I can't find the oil fill. The Operators Manual I have ( bought off of ebay but looks legit ) has different photos and locations.

When I look under the cap I see all the gears and think they should be lubricated. The oil is in spec on the dipstick so I guess I'm ok.
