After seeing rusty6 s snow video I figured I d share a pic of our snow so far in eastern Oregon. Yesterday I woke up and the temp was -12F and this morning we are currently at 0F.

Thats cold!What part of Eastern Oregon?Heard its been that cold in Burns.I have some friends and relatives that live in the Redmond/Bend
area.I live in Southwest Washington.

I am hoping for a lot for the western slope of the Colorado Rockies, so that Delta Red can get all the water for irrigation that he can use.
 
I am hoping for a record level snow. We have been in such a terrible drought most of our reservoirs are empty or darn close. That has driven up hay prices thru the roof- a lot of small time ranchers have been selling off most their livestock including us.
 
Last time I was heading to your area lots of snow on the ground, to go coyote hunting. Time we got down there all the snow was gone, so coyotes had lots to eat. We didn't make it down couple years ago, as that is when we got shut down, hopefully can make it down this spring, I still have reservations at Crystal Crane Hot Springs. But few of my hunting partners won't make as of health problems,,,OLD AGE lol lol
 
I was told they have done a lot of up grading since I was down there 20 years ago. Many improvements
 
Yes, and the improvements are very nice. Concrete benches along the walls at different heights for relaxing or cooling down. Also a super hot pool called the lobster pot.
 
We went to the Oregon trail Interpretive center a few years ago, it was nice, but the most memorable thing
was the big equipment junk yard just E of Baker City!
 
We are at the foot of the Elkhorn mountains just west of Baker City.

Like this little town. They are remolding the interpretive center, supposed to be really nice when finished, and the rust yard you go by to get there is really neat.
 
I really like that area. Sumpter, Granite area is nice. I love fishing in Olive lake! I have always intended on going to the Oregon trail interpretative center but have failed to actually make it.
