Kohler compressor motor

I am working on a Kohler motor with no spark. It has a coil like the older cars used, and needs a 12 v battery to run. It has no spark. There is a plug
in module attached to the air shroud. Two wires come from under the flywheel area, and plug int this module. it has a number 41403305A. Anyone know how
to check this module? Thanks Stan

That module is the voltage regulator. Look on the side of the block for breaker points.

If you go to Kohler engines com armed with the engine model number and work your way through a drop- down menu or two you can view, print as needed or download the official Service Manual which should include troubleshooting charts. TOUGH for anyone else to help you since you didn't include the engine model number.
