So what powers the light on a steam engine?

On a locomotive engine, there is a turban driven dynamo.
It keeps the lights burning, probably charges a battery for whatever they needed, maybe some instrument lights, work lights.
It's usually located just in front of the cabin, you'll see a small streamer of steam exhausting from the turbine, hear it whirring.
The tractor also may have had an acetylene light like some early cars and trucks.

Steam Power may be the answer for Heavy Power needs in the world . it was shoved aside because it was AND IS ExploSive~! . However. modern Technology can short circuit those troubles ..
