Anything use this air filter any more?

I had this filter in my stash and I'm cleaning out. I think where I worked had some very big forklifts that used them and possibly a Trackmobile. Does any other equipment use them? They are quite pricey.

Big old square early dry type filter sat up on the fender of a lot of 50s&60s construction equipment . I think the price is why the round Donaldson type canisters and filters finally became the most used type.

I googled the part # and cross referenced it to Wix number 42585. Per the Oreilly auto parts website, it says that this filter fits the following two pieces of equipment and retails for $90. HTH

HEIN-WERNER+Excavators C14A BACKHOE w / Detroit Diesel Eng.
TAYLOR+Forklifts TYB180M w / Detroit Diesel Eng.

Looks like an element for a FARR air cleaner.

Those type of filters were used in the Farr brand air cleaners found on some of the older fracturing pumps equipped with the 149 series Detroit Deisel engines. 4 air cleaners per bank for a total of 8 per unit. Lots of air moves through a 16V149 at 2000 RPM. LOL

One of my first jobs when I went to work at the RR Work Equipment shop was to
replace several of those filters with round Donaldson filters.
It was a fun project.
