One of my brothers had a 3020 for a short time, but I never drove it. I did drive a couple 2520 diesels that a farmer I worked for had. I liked those little tractors. They were nice to drive and worked good on the haybine and baler.

Dads 3020 that I converted to diesel unloading corn silage.
Much better more useful tractor now that its diesel.

3010 rebuilt with a 3020 engine, the first tractor I bought, in 1977. The big tractor the first year of farming, and it has been Old Reliable, over the years. Carried a New Idea loader almost all of its time here. Now days, mostly on hay duty.

Pictured is our 1970 3020 doing some of its many jobs on the farm: filling the Gehl feed wagon with silage, hitched to a 185 New Holland manure spreader, and no-tilling soybeans with a JD 7200 planter. We also use a 1967 3020 with a Farmhand F10 loader. Both tractors are diesels and each have in excess of 11000 hours.

I was looking for a gas when I bought mine and a snchro glad I got the diesel I think the gas burner would have its hands full with the d1000 new holland

I am rebuilding all of them with parts I have. The one without wheels is actually very good. Less than 6000 hours. I put butchered up 4230 rear axles on it, that I recut and drilled and tapped (had the engine running in first gear without wheels to cut the axle with a grinder).

That is 2 4020 + 3x 3020 on the same trailer. A telehandler was used to load and unload, it went fairly easy.

(quoted from post at 01:13:35 02/15/22) Be careful Steve thats how tractor fever starts
Yes sir, it has taken hold. She is five now and was upset when I sold that tractor. Got out of the hay business

Yes, the 3020 gas would not be enough for your big baler. Mine ran a 4x5 round baler ok but could have used more torque when the baler got full.

I live in the west of France. I worked 5 years in Kansas and I really need to update my location!

I could tell by your rig we werent in Kansas anymore Dorothy.
I dont Ill ever make it far enough from home to ever see all
your tractors but I would like to

I don't have a 3020 but my 2140 is similar in horsepower. A friend of mine still has the 3020 he started farming with fifty years ago. In this photo from the 1980s he had a snow blower mounted on a 148 front end loader on his 3020. I think it is a 1966 model.
