Old harvest photos

Recently got these 2 pictures through a genealogy contact.

If provenance on these is right, would have been on the farm of a Maternal g-g-grandfather. Some bachelor sons would have been farming it when these photos taken most likely as the old man would have been around 80 I think. Likely dates to around WW1 era.

Location would be Renville Co, Minnesota.

I think the tractor in front of the thresher is not a steam tractor? Don't see a stack on it.

The 2nd one I think has a steam tractor on the belt. Car appears to be a model T and sort of a beat up one at that. Kids were probably told to stay in the car and out of the way!

The top photograph is an Aultman & Taylor 30-60 gasoline tractor. The car is a Model ''T'', from 1917-1922.

There's little to see of that steam engine in front of the ''T'' and behind the water wagon, but those heavy duty wheels and the brackets (?) in the front that may have held a water tank have me >guessing< its a Minneapolis Threshing Machine Co. product.

Thanks!!!

I did a little more research. This may not be on the farm of that g-g-grandpa but it would have been in the same area. One of the sons (whose family descendants these come from) listed his occupation in the 1920 and 1930 census as a threshing machine operator so could be this was his equipment and they were working on a farm in the area. No way to know for sure now of course.
