Stumbled across this show on Discovery channel, called The Repair Shop apparently produced in the UK. First episode I seen had interesting history on a salesman sample of the Ferguson tractor. Searched them out on YouTube and found them here:

Shows them unloading Fergies off an airplane in Africa probably in the late 40's. The show follows restoration work on various artifacts. Looks like an enjoyable series to watch.

I stumbled on that one evening . It did appear interesting to me. I like the idea of fixing things and using them rather than being part of our throw away society.

I caught the Christmas edition.

Maybe because it was the Christmas show, but it seemed really fake.

Gave the impression people were bringing their toys in unannounced, and they were instantly restored and ready the next day!

Other than that it was an interesting show!

Looks like the How its Made show. I saw them repairing a plate, but didn't watch the rest of it.

We just became aware of the show ourselves last week. I like how they actually show some of the restoration process.
We used to watch the old "American Restoration" show, but all they did was show the 'before' and 'after'. The rest of the show was all just "made for TV' drama and BS. Here they actually show some of the work being done. I find that fascinating.

This is actually quite an old show. It is British and we are just getting it. Most of the episodes are on You tube

I just seen that the New Season is now available. They never give an estimate for fixing something though.
