Moved the combine back home . what should have been a 6
hour job ended up taking 13.5 . Two flat tires one on the
header cart and one combine tire actually got lucky the way it
happened though so better not complain I guess. Just
happen to see the railroad man working on a crossing and got
a few railroad ties I only got 5 didnt have it in me to load any
more than that

Is it time to invest in new tires?

When I had a tire fail on my 10 year old implement trailer, I decided to put 4 new ones on and sold the other 3 to a friend that was cheap. He only wanted to buy used tires. Yes there are people that are cheaper than I am.

My biggest fear was blowing a tire going fast and I had a tractor on trailer.
Barney may give me a ticket if the tractor fell off.

Railroad ties will give you hernias. If you get one go ahead and get another. If you need double repaired the insurance will pay for an arthroscopic procedure so the recovery time is much shorter.

Yes, the last time I set a
railroad tie for a post my back
went out and I said never again.
Oil field pipe is best but kind of
complex with concrete and all.

Used to lift two at time back in the day last time I did that it did
about kill me . These are 12 foot ties

The header trailer has new tires but the beads leak . I honestly dont know if the combine will ever run again after this job . I just ordered new 14 ply tires for my stock trailer because they are shot

Cant get oilfield right now . I dont mind ties they arent bad the oak ones are heavy heavy its all I can do to lift them anymore

just put the combine in the corner.. it will sit for a couple of years and someone will show up and want you to cut..

or maybe you will win the power ball and buy more ground and need it..

Its not going anywhere shes part of the family I have a place all ready for it . Im going to see if I can cut some grain for someone next fall
