Hi everyone, I'm new to this site so I hope I'm in the right area for this post. I recently purchased a 1974 I believe, a 724 international harvester diesel tractor and was wondering if anyone could help me with finding a wiring diagram for this tractor. Thanks for any help, Darren.

You could check out the diagrams at the link below, possibly the diagrams show for other members of the "74" series MAY be similar to what you have, that's all I got! ;-)

I'm guessing that you're in England or somewhere in Europe, because the 724 isn't a model that IH marketed here in the USA.

Your best bet is to find an owner's manual and a service manual for it. Ebay is often a good source for original manuals.

the serial number just to make sure and

I believe the wiring diagrams will work, I
see the 624 is listed and they are pretty
close to being the same tractor. Thank you

An IH724 is a German built tractor one of the 24 series tractors along with the 554, 624 and 824 models from the late 1960s and replaced by the world wide series 454 and 574 from 1970. MJ.
 
I got an message from (worn out), he sent
me a link with different international wiring diagrams and the 624 was there, so I think

Hi Darren, welcome to YT, I live in Eastern Ontario and there were several 624s and occasional 724 and 824s around in the mid 1960s before the IH 54/74 series.

Well reposting for a wiring diagram for my 724 international harvester tractor, the 74 series is somewhat different than the 24 series tractors. Alot of the wiring in my tractor is all there but some of it is not hooked up, there is a relay in the wiring under the dash that l don't see in the 74 series and a fuse bar just below the dash. My tractor wasn't charging the battery, the wiring from the alternator goes to the fuse bar than to the relay. I took the relay apart and found it all rusted and water got in it so I replaced it and now the battery is charging, now for some reason the fuel gauge goes to full and it isn't hook up the the fuel sending unit. Very confused so any help would be great, thanks again.
