3020 power shift PARK

So my hired mans brother drove the 3020 and tried to put the tractor in park while moving and when the tractor didnt stop he just laid on the shifter until it did stop. It made a ratcheting noise until it did stop. Now when I go to move it forward or reverse it ratchets for about 10 feet then is fine and park holds great. Can someone tell me what is going on now with this.

The park release linkage under dash needs to be checked first.
Also torsion spring at the park cam command behind the battery box.
Also the roll pin on the same park can command. It is probably broken but then your park would not work good. Make sure a steel wire can go through roll pin.

Does your hired man brother does same thing with a car with automatic trans????

Park the tractor. Take the top link completely off of the tractor. Go over to hired mans brothers house. Beat him with the top link like a red headed step child. Put the top link back on the tractor. Now youll still need to fix the tractor. But it probably wont happen again.

My guess is park control cable needs lubricating or spring(item 9) is loose or broken.
