I'd really like to see a photo of the data plate on that jeep. It looks to be a Bantam BRC40, if so very rare. Bantam got shut out of the Jeep production by the Willys MB, who had more manufacturing ability and a better engine, and then eventually Ford GP when Willys could not keep up. Bantam went on to make most of the trailers for the Jeeps.

I thought maybe an 8 volt? The exposed spark wires indicate it is not a military shielded ignition, but if it is a Bantam it may be earlier than the shielded ignition. Or swapped out to civilian ignition due to the lack of OE parts which is common on these old jeeps. Might even had a Willys or GPW engine put in it at some point. I agree no lockouts would be on the original. BUT, way cool anyway as I love old jeeps! Glad to see it display and thanks for posting the pictures.

Ford GP with a Ford 9n engine.

That's a sweet Diamond T!
Wish ours was in that condition... Ours runs, and drives fine, just needs paint and a new bed...
Jeep is nice too.
