Got a new camera and then got a serious lens for it recently! Been practicing my action shots! I got a great blue heron at launch the other day, thought I would share!

Great photo.
We see them through our kitchen window all the time in our fishpond about 75 feet from the house.

I upgraded cameras from a canon t5 to a mirror less Sony a6000. Then I got a Sony f 5.6-6.3, 200 to 600 lens!

Thanks.
Did you buy the camera and lens?
What's a good price?
40 years ago I was into 35mm SLR macro zoom
lenses.

My wife gave me a 100 - 400 Sigma for Christmas then I fell hard during the Great Central Texas Blizzard of '21. My right shoulder is so messed up I can barely hold it up.

It takes a good camera, or a lot of luck to get a shot like that. Many times I wish I had a better camera with a zoom lens and a few adjustments but 99% of my
photos are taken with my I phone because its in my pocket. Its not the best but chances are if I had an expensive, quality camera it would be in its case back in
the house when I need it and I'd miss the shot.

I had to quarantine for 2 weeks in December and it weakened both of my shoulders significantly! My new lens itself weighs 5 lbs! I put a monopod on mine so I can hike in and then quickly set up!
